Prevent a Second Stroke

Strokes are the leading cause of disability for people aged 65 and older. A stroke is a condition where blood flow to the brain is stopped by a blockage or clot.

The most common symptom of a stroke is weakness on one side of the body, causing difficulty with speaking, walking, or understanding. However, there are other symptoms that may be more serious including numbness, tingling in the face and arms, dizziness, severe headache with no known cause and trouble speaking or understanding speech.

There are many ways to prevent a second stroke after an initial stroke has been diagnosed. These include:

1) Taking medication to prevent blood clots

2) Getting regular checkups

3) Having an exercise routine that includes aerobic activities
